I have always wanted to drive one of these for some reason, realizing that, of course, it’s just a Civic with upright seating. But seeing one lifted like this only makes me want to try it more.

I’ve never seen a lifted CR-V in the wild.

I want to lift my Rav4 in the worst way. Sadly no one makes decent parts for it anymore, I missed the small window I had. Oh well, just have to buy a Jeep again.

I drive by this lowered one pretty often. I don’t hate it

first gen CR-V with manual, lifted and spec'd for offroading OR K20 swapped and lowered for speed is the best

I could rock one:

I have a 2006, I love it. It's quirky enough to keep me amused, amazing visibility. I commute with it but there are some cool wheels and bigger tires that do fit. The first Gen actually have ARB parts available.

Those white wheels are the ones I would get, I've seen them on CRVs, but I have three classics so the money doesn't flow to customizing the CRV, it's the reliable commuter!

That first one is so damn beefy!

See, i love them lowered like this too!

I’m afraid that if i ever got in one, i’d be disappointed by how average it is. I pray for them to be as quirky and fun as I imagine them to be.

Which generation of Rav4 do you ha ve ?

I’ll take one of each.

I have seen one, not even lifted as much as this one, but it looked right.

Considering everything is going to a cuv format I figure this will be the how I get a hatchback or this will be the future of cheap track beaters

That’s awesome!!!

I know, I love it!

Pretty sure some better looking wheels and tires won’t hurt your reliability ......

I assume that with a lift that big, and tires that overleveraged, you are basically swapping out CVs and wheel bearings at each oil change.
Still, looks ahhh-mazing.

CR-v ‘awd’ isn’t known to be very good, it consistently fails the roller tests;

Super nice guy too! I met him in my travels this last spring. I saw his CRV sitting at a campsite and thought it was pretty cool, but he wasn’t there to talk to. Later that evening my girlfriend and I were sitting in some hot springs next to a lake when this guy and his wife come over and join us. Turns out it was the CRV guy! And he had been ogling my Monster just like I was ogl ing his ride!

That is so cool, man!

They aren't bad, I took it up to Tahoe and it did everything I needed it to. I was in a crazy rainstorm once and the AWD was great. I like the visibility, it has a nice driving vantage point. The only thing better is a cab over van like a Delica.

I mean I have three classics and the list of things to do will probably not let me get around to the CRV anytime soon!

I keep hearing excuses, what we really want are results! ;)
